Disney 2019 Planning Part 2

It’s half way through the week where almost my entire work group is at the Swan and Dolphin for Training.  I made my team a mini grid last week to see what parks were open when the classes ended.  I really need help.

Figment drawings from the last trip appear in everyone’s emails.  No clue what triggered it. Nicely timed to coincide with the write up of the trip on the blog now.

Now there are roaming PhotoPass folks, to catch all kinds of non posed shots as well. Once again, Disney sets out to prove they can do something better than the masses with their phone cameras.

Spectaculab opens at the almost completely gutted Innoventions.  Sciency demonstrations sponsored by muRata.  A nice hat tip to what EPCOT was supposed to be, as the rest gets turned into thrill rides and movie references.

That answers that question.  Holiday special filming begins taping at Walt Disney World. Only cast members are invited to get tickets to be the roped in audience.  Guests are allowed to join if there’s room, and to hang around outside the roped in areas.

Last Jedi stuff added to Star Tours. The variability of that ride is climbing insanely.

Magic express pick up time moved back to four hours before flights now.  There goes another hour of park time.

Hall of Presidents reopens. Trump animatronic will tweet instead of speaking. OK, I made that up. It will likely remain the premier place for air conditioned naps in the Magic Kingdom.

Jose and Panchito to be at the Animal Kingdom Nightly Carnivale until March 5.  If they come back, we may have to change which park we wear our shirts to.

Anabelle and I discuss “the urge” to visit Disney growing.

Digital entry to be tried at Wilderness Lodge. Use your phone at your room key. “But my charger is inside!” soon to be heard across the world.

Grandma calls to tell me that she’s not taking us all again when she turns 75 as she originally planned. She can’t wait that long, it will probably be next summer.  I guess we weren’t the only ones with urges.

This is not a drill. Grandma says, “Count on going August 2019!”  List of questions and beginnings. No Universal this time. Works for me and I'm sure most of the gang.

Jeffrey the Grid Maker,

Just sent you my easier to read money comparison and figured I should give you more info.  I am sure we are going in August 2019. I’ve looked at general prices right now for resorts. ALL  music, sports and movies is 110, Pop Century is 127 and Animation is 155. I know the “ALLs” and Pop Century is better. I am not really sure the Animation is worth the extra money. Since I like things without change. It is probably that instinct leading my feelings.

[My replies are marked with arrows (>>>) throughout]

>>>Y'know, we're all on the same clock. Anabelle couldn't sleep Sunday night, and asked me to read her the last Disney story from the blog...  We started talking about feeling the "urge" again.  I guess it wasn't just us.
My quick answers, more will take time work and thought.

I remember you not being able to get 3 rooms at Animation with an adjoining room and that may also be leading me.

>>>Animation only has one section with regular rooms and never has sales since its the newest one. The sales usually bring pop century price closer to the "ALL" places prices and the quality there is a little better and more importantly, its closer to 3 of the 4 parks. (not Animal Kingdom).  Although if it saves us enough for an extra day, I’m sure the "All"s are fine too.

Anyway I ain’t good at this. I tried putting in August dates for 10 or 11 nights but I might have messed up and then put in Kim’s family without Morgan. It said $144.  I don’t have the other room prices on my list but I have them downstairs. I can check another time. You MIGHT be better at this than me. HA

Anyway, I told Kim plan on it is going to happen no matter what. I know Dave has to put in his vacation very early. She said he has to put his vacation in October.  So we will have to know the dates by then even if we haven’t booked. Last time we went 9 nights 10 days. That could be enough but if we find out prices  we could go a day or so more.

>>>I don't know if the school schedules will be set for the next year by October. They may be.  The closer we can get to the end of the month, the less crowded it will be. The issue is-- if it’s one of those weird years where school starts before labor day.

Two things. With us going in August we can go from one week day to another and only have one weekend. That would be only one day of TV Mass.

>>> Weekday to weekday is the best way to do it. you get more low attendance days that way too.

Also, I hope this doesn’t upset you but I don’t want to go to Universal at all. I saw it and it was good but I’m fine without it.  It did cost me an extra $1500 and even if you factor in that we’d need another meal at Disney it would be a lot less money.  I love Disney It is where I want to be.

>>>It’s your show. Anabelle liked Harry Potterland but not much else in Universal. My guess is "oh no, we have to spend an extra day in Disney World" isn't going to be a big complaint.

Okay enough prattle. If you can figure out what days would be the best to go and when most economical and good. I would think airfares would come into play. I’m sure you and Rosa know what days are best to travel.  So you have until October to solve my puzzle. I’d be glad to do anything I can to help you.

>>>Toy Story Land will be open for a little over a year, which should dilute the crowds. (Jesse will be there to meet now, after being fired from Frontierland) Star Wars land may not be open yet, or may be brand new open, meaning it will be a zoo. But fast passes are something to panic about 60 days before, not now.

By the way if you haven’t told Anabelle, even Rosa by chance if you haven’t, you can. I told Aurora last night. Morgan  just knows we are going to Disney sometime.  He wants to go Yesterday. I am not sure Veronica heard me and Kim talking when we told Aurora  but she will be here this weekend so I will make sure she know.

EXCITTING; VERY EXCITING; isn’t it.  I’m somewhat worried about getting all the money but the excitement is overriding it.

OOOOOOOOOO XXXXXXXXXX ZZZZZZZZZZ  (9 people going to Disney)
Mom

>>>AAAAAAHHHHH must Grid!!!!

Disney World has gotten too crowded and too expensive for us. So I think we might stop going as much as we normally do. I think I'm going to be using your trip-planning posts to fill that hole in my heart.
They're very entertaining.

Many thanx. We only go every few years and use the "constant state of planning" to fill the hole, so I completely understand. Remember the good old days when there were low crowd times where nearly everything was a walk on?
