TEN YEAR BLOG ANNIVERSARY, Finally -"We're Gonna Turn It On"

When I initially decided to write a blog, (with much pushing and prodding from friends and family, likely so I'd stop asking them all directly to read my stuff) my very first idea for a new material post was to highlight how much the TV series The Electric Company meant to me as a kid, how it stayed with me over he years and remained enjoyable in my memory and on subsequent youtube and DVD revisits.

This blog started TEN YEARS AGO (in a couple of days, before the next post goes up anyway) and I have consistently, unfailingly,  kept up with two posts a week- every Monday and Thursday- like clockwork...

Assuming a clock running on bad puns and obscure pop culture references, naturally.

None of those 1046 posts, however, have focused on The Electric Company.

I have always been better at dependability than control of my creative output.

The Mandalorian Season Two: This IS Your Father's Star Wars!

Well, that was insane in the best possible way.  Sorry for the delayed review, it took a while to stop cheering and gather my thoughts.

Re-re-re...re-re-re-Watching Star Wars: Rogue One

This is a good film, Star Wars or otherwise. I talked about it before (click here for more in depth thoughts.)  In fact, being unencumbered by the emotional impact of a theatrical release when she was seven, this is Anabelle's favorite Star Wars film.

Old Guy Game Guide: Cars Race O Rama

There is a weird connection with the Disney Cars franchise and my family.  The movies are around the top of my list for Pixar films and Anabelle calls the third one a "cinematic masterpiece."

Re-re-re...re-re-re-Watching Star Wars: Solo

Solo has a bunch of great elements as:
A Star Wars film
A heist film,
And a Ron Howard film.

It's a real shame it got heavily penalized both critically and financially, primarily due to:
"He's not Harrison Ford."

Wha? Wha? 84

Because Rosa got a special preview of HBO Max, we were able to see Wonder Woman 84 on its release date.

Maybe we should have been happy with only seeing, and greatly enjoying, Soul?

Re-re-re...re-re-re-Watching Star Wars: Episode III

The opening of Revenge of the Sith is some high quality, fun and exciting Star Wars stuff.  The Clone Wars cartoon showed how much good material there could have been for more live action adventures there.  It's a shame the prequels were spread across as wide a time period as they were and we didn't get more of this.
