I don't care if someone drinks a soda on a hot day and we clearly see that it's a Coke. But it felt like the bit about diverting the Southwest flight from over the top of the landing site was put in just to say and see "Southwest". The boom shot of the SHIELD Acuras was like something from a Toyotathon commercial. They were all parked juuuusssst so.
Towards the end the destroyer blew up the 7-11 gas station but then from an aerial shot we can still clearly see the 7-11 sign.
These glaring moments re-suspend my disbelief.longbowhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06119778031758033525noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4690632656143895108.post-78603987695516486442011-05-16T19:52:35.154-07:002011-05-16T19:52:35.154-07:00Portman played a very important role...she made He...Portman played a very important role...she made Hemsworth looks appropriately HUGEMOUNGUS.

I thought the women were more varied in this film than most of the recent superhero flicks.
Sif, Jane and Darcy were certainly a variety.

JMS headed up the most recent Thor relaunch...I dont really care who did or does the dialogue, but we darn well better get an "I SAY THEE NAY!" in the sequel.Jeff McGinleyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17788944317811387240noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4690632656143895108.post-28827697654328710182011-05-16T18:22:43.262-07:002011-05-16T18:22:43.262-07:00Also, during the post-end-credit clip in the SHIEL...Also, during the post-end-credit clip in the SHIELD basement, I couldn't have been the only person to think that the briefcase contained Marcellus Wallace's soul.longbowhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06119778031758033525noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4690632656143895108.post-72749301847852119672011-05-16T17:23:42.612-07:002011-05-16T17:23:42.612-07:00Branaugh doesn't know how to handle women. Here, I loved the hammer flying to Thor so much but I thought the only thing that would have made it better would be if it conked Natalie on the way in.

I noticed J. Michael Stracynski has a story by credit. I think they should have let him contribute some dialog as well.longbowhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06119778031758033525noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4690632656143895108.post-56425240254759023582011-05-15T19:24:20.576-07:002011-05-15T19:24:20.576-07:00So the secret to getting my daughter to watch and ...So the secret to getting my daughter to watch and enjoy an adventure film I know she'll like is to see it ahead of time, and talk her through any dramatic tension scenes so she know's they'll come out ok. If I must see superhero films twice for my child to enjoy them, then it is a burden I will bear. My wife liked it too, but wanted to know why there were all these viking battles in her romantic comedy.

Extra thoughts on Loki being surprised by his heritage. Considering he's the father of a half corpse woman, a giant wolf and a world circling serpent, plus the mother of Odin's horse, you'd thing any genetic information he'd get about himself shouldn't be a shock anymore.Jeff McGinleyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17788944317811387240noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4690632656143895108.post-37557276203968728912011-05-15T15:14:32.369-07:002011-05-15T15:14:32.369-07:00The movie Thor was AWSOME!The movie Thor was AWSOME!Anabellenoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4690632656143895108.post-63733951501648304272011-05-10T19:47:25.831-07:002011-05-10T19:47:25.831-07:00Part maturity, but more likely too old and tired t...Part maturity, but more likely too old and tired to stand and shout at a midnight movie. It was nice to watch a movie with a scene that wrong and not have to physically restrain you! and more amazinly "that romantic comedy stuck in the middle of my superhero picture" was met with only a slight bit of huffing.

I stand by my review, I loved it but "More shirtless Thor" would have made it even better.Kim Luernoreply@blogger.com
