Anabelle- “Hey, I never got to try the Rock n Roller Coaster, and my second favorite Big Thunder Mountain was closed."

Her practicing of character autographs has reached an art form on the last trip and will only improve.

The Star Wars fireworks and projection show in MGM, which I thought wasn’t there, isn’t there the day after we leave to make way for a Christmas themed one…I’m so confused.

Its really weird seeing stuff we saw show up as “New” on the websites a week later.

The Little Mermaid turns 27.  My daughter’s favorite princess premiered on my Dad’s birthday and I had no idea. Go figure.

Spaceship Earth projection technologized into the Death Star…whoah.

Disney World APP updates to have more accurate wait times, and be able to edit PhotoPass pictures mobile style. Nice timing there guys

Still checking refurbishment dates daily. Gridding habits are hard to break.

Rogue One stuff added to the launch bay and stage show at MGM, The Star Was fireworks show comes back as a 2nd end of the night display along with the Christmas one too, that was quick.  Also, Star Tours to be randomized again…that explains a lot, Episode VIII scenes coming soon!

It’s a Star Wars World After All.

Fairfax Faire and ABC Commissary menus on Allears.net finally updated to show where the ribs really are now…
A month and a half late.  Really could have used that information when we were hitting lunch.

Alcohol now served in four Magic Kingdom table service restaurants including Cinderella’s Castle.  I blame the Food and Wine festival, which I like even less now. [Edit- opinions can change]

Magic Kingdom allows guests inside Main Street before opening. Mostly to spend money, but there’s a new opening show on the castle stage.  Wonder if this decision is linked to Railroad refurbishment?

Disneyland is still using paper FastPass, but will now introduce MaxPass, with phone based selection at $10 per person per day.  Stacy was always so smug about FastPass Plus being free in Disney World. Here’s hoping her smugness can remain.

Main Street Electric Parade returns…to Disneyland. Is this an elephants' graveyard thing, or a resurgence?

Avatarland opens and is reportedly spectacular and immersive.  Normal for Disney, but its screwing up my Gridding.

Wow that was a long break.  The power of the “We’re not in Disney Anymore Funk” is extreme.

Huh,  Mission Space has a huge, undefined refurbishment. Could that be the first sign of NuEPCOT?

Save the date from work for a training session in September in Orlando.  Entry level engineers flood me with requests to Grid. I really don’t want to taint Disney World with crap from my job.

August 11, 2017

“One Man’s Dream” to change names to “History and Preview” center. I guess The World is a lot more than the dreams of one man at this point. Hey! When did they start having a Starlord and Baby Groot meeting there?

August 13, 2017

Mission Space change, “Might kill you” line enhanced mission to Mars, regular line can take younger guests but only orbits Earth.  Lame.  [Edit- No , it wasn't]

Universe of Energy has its last trip to see the dinosaurs.  Since they had to build the place around the giant animatronics, I wonder if they’re going to be incorporated into the Guardians attraction, or simply scrapped?

Mickey’s Halloween Party starts today. At this point they should retheme Liberty Square to be half Halloween Town, and Half Christmas Town and just run the parties all year.

September 8, 2017

A Christmas show on Sunset Boulevard in MGM announced. Sounds like a projection show on the buildings including the Tower of Terror. I wonder how they avoid blinding people on the ride.

September 9, 2017

Was trying to figure out if a business trip to Disney without my family should cause a reset of the countdown.  I didn’t
think so, but it doesn’t matter as Hurricane Irma means no one is going to Disney next week.

September 12, 2017
N minus 705
Hurricane Irma, the biggest storm in the history of ever if the Weather Channel hype is to be believed went straight up Florida.  Disney closed for two days and not only reopened today, but with Extra Magic Hours in the Magic Kingdom.  Dang, they’re good.

September 22, 2017

More and more cool PhotoPass Magic shots keep getting added. Shows how brilliant Disney is to draw people to locations that don’t have any actual attractions for a picture that will be enhanced digitally, to help thin out the crowded spots.

Disney is now allowing dogs at some hotels.  There will now be dogs that get to spend more time in Disney World than I do.  This is unfair.
