This leads me to wonder where his polaroid camera is and how it survived multiple ship crashes and explosions?

We start off with Cheetor finding a broken, massively oversized, pod with a big “X” on it crashed in an Energon cube pile, in a swamp. I’m sure it will be fine.

Huh, Shiny Megatron’s laser pliers are a “gun” he holds, not his actual hand. How about that?
The alien beam turned all the unstable Energon crystals into cubes. That’s…quite a change from how that used to work.
