I missed another Venom film in the theater. It happens. I feel these movies are a lot like Venom comics.
Whenever I get a Venom comic, i put it at or near the top of what is normally a considerable pile and read it right away. I enjoy it. Then I can barely remember anything that happened in it.
One interesting note. I have read the entire last two runs of Venom , up to "Venom War." Also, a bunch of comics with the character before that. I never noticed ANY influence from the films in the comics. However, in the Spider-Man miniseries for that Venom War cross over, the conversations between Peter and the Venom symbiote felt straight out of the movies and I found myself reading them in Tom Hardy's excellent voice for the character.
The comics are a fun burst of entertainment and craziness but without a lot of depth to them.
Same with the films. I enjoy them when they're on, I almost always stop to watch one when found on the archaic practice of "flipping channels." Yet, I rarely will decide to watch them on their own.
Venom The Last Dance had what we've come to expect-
Over the top, crazy action scenes, (Skirting the edge of PG13, which is where the character belongs.)
Fun new symbiotes, (Which all died, kind of a bummer that it subscribes to the old school comic film idea of offing all the characters..)
The weirdest part is it was clearly set up as the final film in the franchise.
Yet- there were teasers at the end that not only could the main character continue in this role, but also that the BIGGEST and CRAZIEST cross over (touching nearly every Marvel comic) that this character has been a part of would be following this up.
Maybe if Doctor Doom doesn't work out as planned, the King in Black can be the next world shattering problem for the MCU?

Venom is a character I knew almost nothing about from the comics other than he was in them. I truly enjoyed all of these movies, and like you will always stop to watch them when I find them on TV. The scene with Mrs. Chen had my whole family cheering. We fully believe Venom will be back in other movies, but we do tend to live in the state of denial. Tom Hardy is an absolute King and the scenes with Venom and Eddie banter are my favorites.
For that reason I use that open for my directions app. It makes comments like " this is a good driver I shall not eat them".
And
" 'Venom: 'road trip! We need snacks. Do you know what would make good snacks.
Eddie 'Don't say heads.'
Venom: 'What if I only eat the heads of bad drivers, that don't use turn signals',
Eddie: 'I could get behind that idea' "
They, (mostly Tom Hardy) introduced a dynamic between them that wasn't really there in the comics. But I've noticed in some recent issues it's been seeping in. You'd think they'd capitalize on such a good idea. But no, Now Eddie is Carnage, Mary Jane is Venom (I think) and I've stopped buying both.
