Disney World 2025 Planning Part 15

May 15, 2025
H minus 3 Days
Anabelle came back to the dorm from another celebration to more emotional trauma by watching Onward. "MERGE!!!"

Meanwhile, Rosa and I engage in frantic packing for both leaving today for Anabelle's graduation AND the upcoming Disney trip.

Anabelle’s scouting finds that Belle has replaced Elena in the Princess Hall, but that it may not be a permanent thing, and instead a Rotating Princess. Is Relaxed and Groovy seeping into Florida? It will be nice to have a possible easy access for a picture with our The Beast and I’m with the Beast shirts.
(Foreshadowing- Amazingly, both of our exciting Princess Hall scouting things turned out to be correct. YAAAY!)

Somehow, we managed to use my smaller car and get us, Titi Norma and Grandma down to the hotel the night before this day of Anabelle’s all day of graduation celebrations and back home with a bunch of her stuff. We can ignore most of the chaos that occurred to focus on the good parts.

Some quick transfers of essentials from that packing to the Disney bags happened before we passed out well into the next day. Anabelle stayed behind for one more night, hanging out with friends. I was worried about her driving home at night after Graduation, meaning this may be better.

H minus 1 Days
We all checked into the flight. YAY!

Anabelle drove back from school uneventfully after a fun final night with friends. This meant she entered into the Magical Trip Time with a grand total of seven hours of sleep over two days. Parental worry, another gift that never stops giving.

One final morning is spent looking at concern inducing flight status and weather checks, because there isn’t enough stress in my life.

A boatload of last minute set ups and packing is done. This includes multiple ankle immobilization boot systems and back ups for me. (Fun.)

I threw up the last of the of Transformers Season Two posts two days ahead of schedule because I cannot be bothered fiddling with my phone to do that in Disney.

Amazingly there have been no Park hours updates since I printed The Grid. Surely, they are toying with me.

News flash, Downtown Orlando smells like dead fish. Because we can’t have a normal adventure.
(Foreshadowing- We didn’t smell anything, but is that a weird story or what?)

Disney sent us the “How PhotoPass works” email. They’re so cute.

We watched Big Hero Six, Anabelle described this viewing as “Watching it with a Chemistry Degree as God intended.” Her and Aurora had a consultation, and Aurora will let her know if watching Ratatouille with a culinary degree next year has the same effect.

We all threw together lists of what needed to be done last minute to compare and contrast. Because I dwell in that empty space between brain halves, my “list” was more of a Brainstorming Mind Map, but it was very thorough. Between that and my handwriting, Rosa needed some guidance to navigate it. However, we didn’t forget anything. YAAY!

Anabelle was going to put Splash on in the background and then shut it off when we were all ready to watch something together, but the quality of that picture and her ranking it just below Singing in the Rain on her favorite films list meant we watched the whole thing. YAY!

Anabelle made final adjustments - based on a lens falling out - to the glasses section of her shirt and outfit grid and printed the trip versions. She then painted Rosa’s nails with a Minnie pattern and applied her own (pre painted) nails.

Ratatouille was on Anabelle’s “final day view list” and we started it late this night. Rosa and Anabelle made it to the end, skipping the sad part to gain some sleep time. My old and broken nature led me to pack it in before them, but not before the family favorite “Rat and Patootie” scene.

We make it to “H” as in:
“Holy Crap I didn’t know we were going to Disney!”
Which eventually evolved into:
“Holy Crap, I didn’t think we were going to make it to Disney!”
I was so freaked out by everything that happened, that – in spite of flying regularly with my passport that matches my new “Real ID” - I was convinced the way my name was formatted would keep me off the plane.

But we did have another Amazing Disney World Adventure.
YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY!!!'
