But I Don't Like Marvel Zombies

I've never been a fan of the comic series the Marvel Zombies TV show was based on. However, I had two days before The Witcher season four premier, and needed something to watch.

The show had a few things going for it that lured me in.
The animated What if... series it was a spin off of was excellent.
Zeb Wells was the head writer of this show. I greatly enjoyed his Spidey run, and he was a co-writer on the awesome Deadpool and Wolverine.

My review of this four episode show:
It was...good, I think.

I mean, it kept my interest, and had the goofy and funny over the top violence that the Evil Dead franchise excels at.

It also had a huge amount of actors returning to voice their MCU characters. You could tell it was the ones who really care about them and were excited to spend more time inhabiting those roles.

The problem with that mix, is that the silly "splatstick" moments were HUGELY offset by amazingly heart breaking moments of beloved characters reacting to, and mourning the losses of other beloved characters.

Also, it's still Marvel Zombies. The best super hero stories should be all about hope.
Zombie stories tend to be about facing hopelessness, and having pretty much everyone die at the end.

So... I'm torn.
I did enjoy the short ride.
I was heartbroken many times along the way.
And I was pissed it ended in the middle of the story.

There is a difference between a cliffhanger ending with a complete story-
(Example- Avengers Infinity War tells a complete story. The bad guy wins, its a downer ending, and there are openings for continuation, but it felt finished.)
And ending in the middle.
(The end of this show. Stuff is clearly still going on, not in a "the adventure continues" way, but in "there is still a lot of stuff  unresolved meaning we don't know if it will be hopeful or not, or, in fact, what is actually going on.")

So I will need another four episodes to finish this tale for good or ill, please.
