A Heart Filled with Emotion... and Iron

Ironheart
was a super hero show which in no way was I the target audience for.

And that is freakin' amazing.

Superheroes have been a part of the core of who I am for as long as I can remember. I feel like they are this country's mythology and I encourage just about everyone to get into them. That can be difficult when the comics continually target the aging, white male demographic I'm a part of, (actually on the young end of) pandering to their long time fans, and hoping we don't all die off at once.

The tropes, ideals, and legendary aspects can be adapted for any demographic, however.

This show had a fantastic cast, well handled suspense, and blended the technological and mystical elements of the Marvel Universe better than other adaptations. Comic books do that all the time, but the movies and shows seem reluctant to mix prestidigitation with product development. It made the reveal of the overarching villain a cool surprise, after teasing them in more "appropriate" shows and movies.

There are magical locations, cool and complex heists, technological transformations, and warm hearted family moments.

Well, I've had this much written for over a month, and keep pushing it out to try to think of more.

But that really covers it.

The show was well done. Sometimes that's all that's needed to be said.

it tells a complete story, but leaves many avenues open to be followed up either by Riri and her friends and family or an entirely different corner of the Marvel Cinematic Universe...

Maybe we'll FINALLY get the Young Avengers!

Or they'll ignore it completely and reboot everything with Secret Wars. Then I'll be pissed, but at least feel justified for writing so little on this one.
