Supergirl- Some Variety in Super Hero Tales

People complain about "superhero fatigue" because they claim all those films are the same.

Then one with a different take comes out, and they attack it. 

ugh.

Daredevil, Born Over and Over Again

Starting with the good stuff, Daredevil is my favorite Marvel character, and I'm glad his show is still going. I have enjoyed the ride a great deal.

Transformers Rewatch- Closing Thoughts and a Confession

Well, that was one long and crazy "ROLL OUT!" I truly wish I had ANY control over where this writing addiction takes me and what my brain decides to focus on. 

Its a Wonder, but I Wonder...

Wonder Man dropped all eight parts on January 27, and because I was desperate to get back to new (and new to me) Star Trek, and Rosa was desperate to find out what happened in The Pitt (and honestly we both were into both) we binged the show in two sessions. 

The Great DC and Marvel Index

Fifteen years ago tomorrow, I started the process of screaming into the void that is this blog.

Thank you to those who have kept it from being a completely empty void.

Due to the obsession my brain chose to focus on starting a little over a year ago (and continuing for another couple of months), I completely missed the fact that was coming up until very recently.

Therefore, to celebrate, I shall accomplish a housecleaning task I have been meaning to do for literal years, but never got the energy to actually do it.

Here is the index of references to DC and Marvel comics, movies, TV shows and random thoughts that have taken over my head during the past decade and a half, and presumably going forward.

Note for those thinking I have shown some resistance to laziness by not taking two weeks off of writing off by making a separate index for each...

I have to put a link for this index into all of those posts listed, meaning it will be much easier to accomplish with a single index than having to sort two individually.

"Start" means the first of a series of linked posts. "Index" means (now let's not always see the same hands) and Index of posts.

Marvel characters will be in straight alphabetical order. DC will, naturally, be first, and also be in alphabetical order... after the big three of course, and Green Lanterns because I can't seem to shut up about them.

But I Don't Like Marvel Zombies

I've never been a fan of the comic series the Marvel Zombies TV show was based on. However, I had two days before The Witcher season four premier, and needed something to watch.

The Suicide Creatures Squad of Commandos

 I should have trusted James Gunn's writing and watched this far sooner.

A Heart Filled with Emotion... and Iron

Ironheart was a super hero show which in no way was I the target audience for.

And that is freakin' amazing.

Second Part of Sandman... In Two Sections, with Two Parts Each, Plus another Part.

I have been trying to write this for weeks, but I keep coming back to: 

"damn that was good." 

Therefore, this may be a bit disjointed.

Wow two superhero films in the same month that understand the source material! 

It only took living fifty five years to reach this point!

Look, Up in the Sky! It's Spoilerman!

Years ago, I was asked if I had to chose between Superheroes and Dinosaurs what would I do? I answered- I don't have to, that's why I like Godzilla.

I did learn the answer for well done Superheroes this week, as instead of seeing the new Jurassic Park like I was supposed to, I saw this again.

Spoilers a plenty for this year's Superman.

Because I cannot keep them to myself anymore.

The game development team did an amazing (ha!) job picking and choosing from multiple, well regarded, past comic book stories (in and out of the main continuity), then added their own spin to create a unique and captivating blend for this collection of tales.

 Kraven and his gang was built up as a viable, city wide threat.                                                                                                   

Old Guy Game Guide- Spider-Man 2 part A

This is late. Not a big surprise from me and video games. However, the reason is different than  the usual- "I started playing a decade after it was released." 

There will be spoilers. If I could finish the game by now, so can anyone else.

Thunderbolts* Hits Well!

It seems the Marvel Cinematic Universe has learned a great deal from the Deadpool franchise.

Thunderbolts* is full of fun and snarky characters, has great action scenes, plus wild locations and events. 

New(ish) Mutants- NOT Through a Kids' Eyes

 Well, that took a while didn't it?

I was intrigued by the idea of a horror superhero film when this was first announced to be released in 2018. Also, while I didn't collect the New Mutants comics themselves, I was always a fan of the group when they guest starred in stories I was reading.

Daredevil- Born Again, Again

Poor Mathew. The defining story in the comics for Daredevil was Frank Miller's "Born Again." This was a tale where The Man Without Fear lost EVERYTHING, (friends, job, law license, home, other stuff) and then battled his way back from the bottom.

Venom 3- Another One

I missed another Venom film in the theater. It happens. I feel these movies are a lot like Venom comics.

What If: The Show Figured Out What Made the Best Episodes...

 And then didn't stick the landing?

The What If show after three seasons finally grabbed on to the idea that the fun ones are the most enjoyable episodes. They followed that logic all the way through for the most part, then had a pointless, tragic, self sacrifice for the finale. 

 

A Brave New Captain America Indeed

This movie maintained the trend of the MCU Captain America films in multiple ways.
