My dreams are usually weird enoughto beginwith that there should be injunctions against me trying to record them. A few weeks ago, however, things went completely off the rails.
Our college group was the Juggling Club
gang and we all had different majors. I
was Mechanical Engineering, Brian was Aeronautical Engineering, Randy was
Electrical Engineering, Scott was Business, and Jesse was Computer
Science. We often joked we could all
join together after we graduated and form a company.
Venomcame out, but with a sinus
infection, band performance and a homecoming dance we didn't have time to see
it.
I
know…priorities.
And
there’s a new Doctor. She’s British, she’s fun, she's commanding, and she’s mad, I"m still sure she'll be fine. But, since we’re
starting at the beginning to step by step new viewers in again, I’d really like
to see another outing or two where she’s settled in before posting all my thoughts.
Technically this is “Bad
Geek Confessions: The Hulk” but I liked the other title.
After years of
confusion, I finally figured out how and why I read the Hulk…
And also why I suddenly
have a long box filled with the Green Goliath’s adventures. For a long time, I decided I viewed him the
same way I view the Punisher: a fantastic guest star to see how other heroes
dealt with him, but his solo adventures normally didn’t interest me.
Star
Wars opened in
theaters and started a phenomenon of awesomeness.
Shortly thereafter, I
remember sitting on the floor of the kitchen Up the Lake, hearing my Mom read a
review, and deciding that this might be something I wanted to experience.
Interesting, they
dropped the sequel number on this one. I
never noticed because every piece of advertising had Wolverine’s claws extended
in a giant, pointy Roman Numeral “3.”
The returns were two weeks ago, the new Heroes with a thousand faces - or at least three of them-
were last week, and now it’s on to other new faces…
OF EVIL!

WARS The Force Awakens spoilers below.

You Philistine.
Jessica Jones is the second "Defenders" series on Netflix in the greater Marvel Cinematic Universe.
I maintain my stance
against binge watching, and believe it to be highly justified in this case.
There were many events and decisions in this series worth ruminating about in
my noggin for a day between episodes.
I’m all done now, so here’s the information for the few poor souls out
there who actually follow my recommendations on super hero viewing. I think I’m avoiding spoilers, but it’s hard
to be sure since I consider much of these universes common knowledge due to my
bucket like head. No major spoilers
anyway.
Here’s an analogy that’s
sure to be on the N.A.T. (Nerd Aptitude Test)
Jessica Jones is to the
Marvel Cinematic Universe as Torchwood is to Doctor Who.
All the “recurring dream
concepts” from my childhood (gliding, twisty tree transport, giant bathrooms)
still hold true.
This is why, when I exited
the ENORMOUS (yet abandoned in February) rest room along the Atlantic City boardwalk
I was twitchy and confused for the rest of the day, as I half expected potato
aliens to steal my family.
