Disney World 2025 Planning Part 5

March 20, 2025
H minus 59 Days
Thought The Grid would be static for a while, but we sent shirt pictures of Rosa’s collection to Anabelle meaning she finished that part… and I put the wrong confirmation number for the Snow White dinner- because it was Six in the morning. Anabelle caught the duplicate writing it into her notebook- because of course she did.

Some scheming-
Me- Did you see the change in rope drop?
They don’t know if it’s a test or permanent, but they let people into Tomorrowland and on lines at 7:45. Even though the rides still don’t start till 8:30.
Anabelle- I did see that.
Crazy
Me- Yeah. Let’s hope it stops.
(Foreshadowing- I don’t think it did, but it had zero visible effect on us.)
Anabelle- I saw that that was the new permanent thing.
Like cast members got an email that it was the new procedure.
But I don’t know if it’s set in stone yet.
Me- Oh. One article said they didn’t know. Is it only Tomorrowland?
Anabelle- I thought it was everywhere that opens at 8:30
Me- Oh.
Anabelle- But that was a maybe.
the location was iffy
Me- Yeah.  Maybe they meant you have to still go in through Tomorrowland.
I don’t know if getting there to wait 45 minutes for the ride to open is a benefit.
Anabelle- It’s not.
I can’t be bothered.
Me- Sounds like we’re rope dropping the Little Mermaid ride again 
Anabelle- ahahaha, for real.
(Foreshadowing- We did not do that.)
 
Without the Park closing time changing, the listed time for Happily Ever After in the Magic Kingdom moves later and later, from 8PM, to 9PM, to 9:20PM between now and when we go. I originally thought it was a hint that the Park would be open later. But the Park is open later now for Spring Break. Thinking about it, it’s probably because sunset gets later and later as the year goes on.

H minus 58 Days
The Magic Band Plus has shipped. Given the recent performance of our post office, we MAY see it before we leave.
 
The “five day” selection on the website covers our whole trip now. No parade listings but at least Park hours and fireworks match the initial guess… till they change them.
(Foreshadowing- They did not. YAAAY!)
 
Anabelle watched the live action Little Mermaid today so she would be prepared to meet her at MGM.  

(Foreshadowing- She did! YAAAY!)

Her review- A little long, but once it stopped trying to be a "shot for shot" remake it was really good.

H minus 57 Days
Updates from Anabelle –
She found a picture of Rabbit at Christopher Robin’s house in England in EPCOT. We will definitely be stopping there to check.
(Foreshadowing- Several times… Alas.)
 
Anabelle sees the new, live action, Snow White. Her review, “I fear that was phenomenal. Lives were changed.” She regaled us with high quality comments, and we will all go see it together when we visit her next week. It definitely was a Fairy Tale.
 
She direct messaged Disney World on Instagram-

Dear Disney World,
Do you think maybe you could swap out the live action Ariel meet and greet with live action Snow White before May 18^th? I just saw the movie and my life has been changed for the better. Please consider this plea.

(Foreshadowing- They did not listen to her. Alas. But live action Ariel was one of the best meetings. YAAAY!!)
 
She sent me pictures of the Polynesian saying, “Us in two months.” That’s my girl.

In other news- four days after our excitement over the first time booking of our family having a meal in France in EPCOT… the walk in cooler used by that restaurant catches fire. Can we pick ‘em or what? It was put out and the Pavilion reopened later.

H minus 56 Days
Anabelle and I chatted randomly (scheming) while she checked wait times. The new Tiana Splash Mountain had only a fifteen minute wait at Parade time. We may be able to catch it then, but it is also MUCH cooler in Florida now than it will be in May.
(Foreshadowing- It was much cooler almost every other moment in Florida history than when we were there. Yikes, was it hot!)
 
Rosa and I went for our weekend walk around a pond in a nearby park and talked about number needed and types of counter service meals available in each place and also refillable mug strategies. The planning is in full tilt for all of us.
 
 
March 24, 2025
H minus 55 Days
Me- “Magic Kingdom parade times are listed to the end of April. It is down to only showing one a day at 3PM. We’ll have to see what they list for us, late next month it looks like.”
Anabelle- “Gotcha.”
Me- “I added the Disney Visa photo times to The Grid.”
Anabelle- “Slay.”
 
I put last year’s weather on The Grid. No idea why. I guess in case I forget when its close and we can see actual weather forecasts.
(Foreshadowing- Behold, the birth of an exercise in futility.)
 
The App shows single rider lines now. That’s handy.

(Foreshadowing- So I did know about this. How about that?)
 
Me- I saw an article saying the Disney Junior Dance Party was gone for good, but it was California.
Anabelle- Thank God!
Rosa- *Thumbs up*
(Foreshadowing- Or not. Alas.)
 
You can use Disney rewards if we add the redeemed points card to the App as a payment method. (For FastPass and such.)

(Foreshadowing- I would forget this almost immediately and be surprised by it again shortly. Kind of like the Single Rider lines being listed.)
