Hey there, everyone.
Remember about a year ago when I had a second stent put in?
And remember the fall after that when that stent getting put in was in a magazine.
Well, that article won an award!
The writer/editor told me:
"The article we worked together on (“Radial Access in Practice”) has won an American Society of Healthcare Publication Editors (ASHPE) Bronze Award!! The ASHPE Awards are highly coveted in the industry and represent the best work health care publishing has to offer. Your willingness to work together and provide additional insight/photography was an important reason why the article was given the award. "
Not exactly a career as a writer, but a day off coming up with something to fill a post.
So...
Yay!

Congratulations!!! Well done!!
It's because you have the HEART of a Lion. A ROARING LION! Congrats!
Many thanx. Though here's hoping for a less invasive way to accolades in the future.
Not sure if that noise is the heart of a roaring lion...it may just be the beans I had.
Great news Jeff! Even as someone very far from the medical field (well actually we did work on a 3D imaging processor for robotic-assisted surgery tools, doesn't really count as medical experience)I enjoyed and got quite a bit out of that article. The author was helped a lot by your willingness to be the focus as a patient which I think is missed by many of these technical columns. You deserve your own ASHPE for offering all of that and more. By the way, do they actually pronounce that "ash-pee"? Just curious.
Many thanx Brian, for reading and commenting.
I am embarrased to say I never noticed that pronounciation possibility...
But I am much prouder now that I can say I helped win an Ash-pee!
thanx again!
Stress for your Wife, your Mother and your Family but thank God there are such wonderful strides in medicine. It was great that you helped in this story to give others a good perspective of taking care of themselves. So proud you are also taking such good care of yourself
Sorry for all the stresses supplied, but very grateful for all the support of me and my family through these "adventures"
Thanx for posting, and everything else.
