Alien Vs. Predator Premier Night

I can vividly remember the night the first AvP film opened.

August 13, 2004 we were Up the Lake, and my wife and I left our then infant child with her Grandparents and family at the cabin to have a night out.

We entered the multiplex walked towards the theater where Alien Vs. Predator was showing…

And continued walking until we got to the theater showing the recently opened Princess Diaries II- Royal Engagement.

“Guess love makes you do funny things.”  - Alice Cooper “Millie and Billy”

For a kid aimed Disney princess film, it had a lot of nerd credit going for it.

Where else could you see Mary Poppins training Catwoman on how to hook up with Captain Kirk and thwart Gimli?

Not to mention it had one of the funniest, strangest and least expected Stan Lee cameos in history, five years before Disney bought Marvel.

Next week will be the full look back on AvP.

This is to give readers all an artistic simulation of the experience I had waiting a week after the premier to see the movie…

And is in no way connected to me blowing a deadline by spending too much time saying nice things about Danceworks again.
