H minus 7 Days
Checking our flight number each day is more stressful now that it’s later. Because with the earlier flight they cancelled, the plane was already well on its way by the time I woke up.
(Foreshadowing- Or just Goofy Spawn because
there is much “lightning” in “Lightning Lanes.”)
The following day, Anabelle and I are doing a bargain Lightning Lane on the Mine Train after the parade.

Three hours after I booked them, Disney sent an email telling me they were available. They are adorable.

I know “The Antidote” at the Snow White dinner changed somewhat
between our last two trips but now the Ginger Beer and everything else has been
replaced with fruit flavors. Only the Rum remains. I think they keep the Snow
White names and base alcohol for the drinks and change them often.

Rosa’s Boys are pretty ephemeral in the Magic Kingdom.
When we first started planning (while I remained clueless), they were listed in the Liberty Square Gazebo. Anabelle saw them showing up shortly afterwards in Frontierland wearing their Cowboy outfits. Yesterday, they were loitering around Tomorrowland with times listed but no location. I guess they’re practicing popping up wherever Rosa is.
Me- I’m “locking down” The Grid today.
(Which means Disney will probably update Park Hours tomorrow.) The hours haven’t
changed since they listed them, and the weather changes slightly every day. It
gets hotter (Boo!) and drier (Yay!) So, think of it as a reference. I could
have just put “Florida will be hot and humid” and saved myself work.
Elena of Avalor is over at the MK entrance where Snow White hangs out. I wonder who is in Fairy Tale Hall?
Anabelle- Bro what? Insane.
(Foreshadowing- Diverse Princesses were in Fairy Tale Hall.)
Me- There is a kids’ Sword in the Stone
dessert at the Castle that I did not see when I made the menus. I may have to
do that.
Anabelle- What is it.
Me- White chocolate sword in mousse stone with coco ground.
Anabelle- Hmm.
(Foreshadowing- SO GOOD!!)
Me- Most restaurants we’ve booked still have openings all week. Even the Castle has a couple here and there. A good sign. Meanwhile the Sci Fi is almost completely booked.
Anabelle- Wow, Weird.
Me- Also, the Crystal Palace gives a 10% discount for using the Disney Visa. Probably more important for when all of us go, as we usually overbook table service. But if you have a strong need to dine with Mickimald, the option is there.
Anabelle- Um… I’m ok.
Me- Guy Fieri’s chicken place downtown has strawberry shakes.
Rosa- *sends picture of a shake*
Even with all the recent gloom, doom and
risks- it is hard not to be excited. Hopefully, it will not come crashing down
around us.
Anabelle has moved on to her favorite
Pixar film. A Bug’s Life.

Menu changes announced at sixteen restaurants. Because they hate me.
Pecos Bill’s added a side of Queso Dip. No biggie.
Sunshine Seasons dropped the grab and go Caesar salad with shrimp. Sorry Anabelle but you’ll probably be eating in World Showcase anyway.
(Foreshadowing- Especially since this place STOPPED SERVING DINNER. Why wasn’t that in your updates, AllEars? Huh?)
The rest are at water parks and hotels we won’t be going to.
The only exception it one little MGM kiosk is changing from Chicken Nuggets to Chicken Strips.
I guess they don’t hate me after all.
Another- “Hey, you’re coming.” Email
from Disney. With a reminder of the “Hey Disney” Alexa thing in the room. Gonna
have to figure out how to [A] shut that down or [B] keep it in the toilet tank.

I’m still too terrified to be excited and there is still far too much in the way. But the daily flight time checks have been encouraging.
Anabelle added to the emotional trauma
of taking down all her posters by watching Luca last night.
Me- Disney confirmed what I saw on the
App. Elena of Avalor moved to Main Street meeting location, no longer in
Princess Hall.

I was just performing my Disneyland rant at the fire pits on Sunday after the mass to Sydney’s sister. She thought it was hilarious.
And it was a good performance because it was literally to a Cast Member,
