An “Awesome Mix” dance
party is announced at the ticketed villains’ event in MGM next week. Star Lord and Gamora are scheduled to show up
to recover the stolen tape. The Genius of Disney rears its head again. By investing the quality in third string
characters like the Guardians of the Galaxy, they not only got a blockbuster
movie, but Marvel characters with no ties to Universal they can have in their
Florida park.

Villains Unleashed
ticketed event at MGM. Guess the free
one Friday the 13th right after we left was a hit. The announced increase of villain presence at
the Not So Scary Halloween party indicates this one was too. Is it too much to
hope for them to get their store back?

World Showcase. This means old acts will
close their runs at the end of September: Mo'Rockin', Off Kilter, Spirit of
America Fife & Drum Corps and World Showcase Players. In other news, Change

Backwards in a Boat is
going away. Looks like EPCOTs getting
two other items that will require Fast Pass booking. A Frozen
ride is a coming and the Anna and Elsa meet and greet is moving back
there. The MGM “Frozen Summer” gets
another month extension and looks like it may last all year. Also, Elsa’s now
in charge of Christmasing up Cinderella’s Castle. Let’s hope Disney gets another hit before
they theme the entire World to one film.

MyDisneyExperience app include character wait times, allowing more detailed
reconnaissance to determine crowd flow and FastPass Plus requirements. With over a year before any possible plans
could start forming, I may be over thinking this.

Good thing I
volunteered. The Studio Back Lot tour at
MGM closes today. While long term it may be making room for Cars or Star Wars, the first element is
to move and expand Wandering Oaken’s
Trading Post and position it closer to the Frozen
sing along.
This is the same day the
EPCOT acts leave, the Maelstrom shuts down, some other attractions reopen and
close in both Disney World and Disneyland, and the Monorail Schedule changes.
Queen Elsa’s annexations
show all the evidence of a well-coordinated WDW coup.

In an effort to make me
panic more about a job I have no idea when I’ll have to do again, Disney World
enters a test phase of no stand by line for Be Our Guest Lunch and Toy Story
Mania. I’m guessing that means no one
will have crazy long, or crazy short waits for these attractions anymore. Wonder how this will play out?

Vanellope booted from animation exhibit to make room for Big Hero Six guys. I think I’m more upset about losing one of the
only Tron references in the park than
having the characters relegated to Ticketed Events.

Queen Elsa’s reign of
terror continues beyond the parks. What started as the Disney World Christmas
Parade, and morphed into a multi park celebration has now been announced as the
Disney Parks Frozen Christmas Celebration.

to make it look like guests are walking through the Darling house, once again
making waiting for a Disney ride better than the experience at most parks. ‘Cause Awesome Happy Disney, that’s why.
