Disney World’s 50th Anniversary Day! It is the most crowded park day in the ever of everness. Most rides were walk on all day because the people there were mobbing stores and food locations for exclusive merchandise and snacks.

There was also a fist fight in the Main
Street shops over Spirit Jerseys.
In other news, stupid people still suck even more than policy changes!

No hugs, no autographs, but one-on-one character time returns to the parks with “Character Sightings.”

One “change is bad” crisis averted. There were supply issues with Disney World getting the Passion Fruit Orange Guava juice (POG) that Rosa (and the rest of us to a lesser extent) fell in love with at 1900 Park Faire. The reason for the issue turned out to be switching suppliers…WHICH ALSO CHANGED THE TASTE.
Luckily, sanity prevailed and they went back to the original supplier. Whew.
[Later edit- None of us remembered to ask for this at any restaurant. Alas.]

FIRE UNDER CINDERELLA’S CASTLE!!!
AAAAAAAAAHHH!!!
Okay, it only took one fire extinguisher to put it out, but having fire trucks come down Main Street that aren’t part of the atmosphere is a major thing.

There are menu changes, but almost only to the names of things. YAY!

THIS IS [Later Edit- Almost] NOT A DRILL! Grandma announced she’s done whatever financial wizardry is needed for us to go to Disney next summer. Kim and I have to figure out schedules. Then I have to figure out planning now that dang near everything is different. Good gravy!
I guess this means I really need to finish
reviewing the pictures so we can make an album of the last trip.

AllEars ran a big article on “Why planning a 2022 Disney Trip is really hard right now” about all the stuff that may or may not reopen sometime this year. Basically, they’re giving me the finger.
