With other Justice League members being added for the sequel to Man of Steel some of my hope began to rekindle. I actually think Ben Affleck will do a good job, as him, and the rest of the male cast of Daredevil were definitely not the problem. Even if he doesn’t it’s fun using him to annoy the few comic geeks that are crazier than I am about this stuff. I figured the Green Lantern levels of box office percentage drop-off after initial weekend success would teach the movie makers some lessons to improve the next outing.

George Awards: Kids Know They’re Funny
Warning:
This post contains jokes about gross body noises that will disgust adults with a sense of decorum.
Kids on the other hand will probably roll about on the floor laughing until they join in the noisemaking festivities, either by reflex, or on purpose.
End of Warning.
I’ve often pointed out that while some members of the family are in charge of honest emotions and uplifting thoughts, my responsibilities lie closer to pointless pop culture references and fart jokes. After considering this statement last time I made it, I realized that it has been the exception rather than the rule that I have stooped to “letting one go” so to speak. That started the fires burning for the George Awards for artificial ones last week, and today’s official Top Ten Farts in Film list that my daughter and I pulled together.

The Old "Favorite Doctor" Question
With Matt Smith’s tenure
at an end, folks are revising their lists of how they rate all of the
Doctors. Of course, many are also using
this time to take pot shots at actors they didn’t like.
It’s pretty telling that
all the Doctors did appear in “Day of the Doctor” looking like they appeared
during their time on the show, to illustrate they are ALL included whether the
actors are alive, dead or unwilling.

George Awards: They’re Always About That Big
Warning:
This post contains jokes about gross body noises that will disgust adults with a sense of decorum.
Kids on the other hand will probably roll about on the floor laughing until they join in the noisemaking festivities, either by reflex, or on purpose.
End of Warning.
The George Awards these next two weeks, are more benign that previous entries, but slightly more pungent.
Fart jokes! They’re fun for all ages. They’re also the reason my brain stared down the path of these posts after my daughter and I started to figure out our favorite movie scenes featuring them.
Yes, sir, we have quality family time at the McGinley home, and I work hard to pass along my comedic knowledge to the next generation…
Or to pass something anyway.
Sit back, relax and hold your nose as we explore the big screen world of the bi-labial fricative.

Yeah Yeah Yeah
Week 6
For Rosa’s birthday,
Anabelle stayed at Grandma’s for her New Jersey vacation day and we did a double
session date night.
The class started with
Cha Cha. There were some issues at
first:
A) Rosa tried the moves
on the “Cha cha cha” instead of the “one two”.
B) I couldn’t find the
beat on either the “Cha cha cha” or the “one two”.

George Awards: Heard it One Night on Television, and it Was Cool
Warning
This post contains
bad, foul, filthy and unacceptable language - the words that “will curve your
spine, grow hair on your hands and maybe, even bring us, God help us, peace
without honor.”
This is not a post
for children. Kids, take a hike.
This is also not a
post for those adults who are offended by this type of language. Do
yourself a favor, and go read some of my cute stuff before moral outrage can
kick in.
End of Warning.

I'm Still Dancin'
Prequel:
With two full semesters
of dance lessons under our belt, we approached an end of summer wedding ready
to demonstrate our skills.
The combination of a
couple months without rehearsal, and returning from the continuous walking of a
Disney trip only two days before affected our ability somewhat.
Our reaction to most of
the music was:
“That sounds like a
(Rumba/Hustle/whatever).
Do you remember any
steps?
No?
Me neither.”
The classes couldn’t
restart soon enough.
They
usually move the tables and chairs.
