What Does the Spock Say?

Yeah, this one got stuck in my head too.  Here’s the inexplicably catchy Ylvis smash, "The Fox," mangled into a Star Trek setting.

For those of you who have isolated yourselves from the internet, TV, radio and most other human contact an instrumental version of the music is embedded below to help with the sing along.

The Spock

Kirk goes “Khan!”
Bones goes “Damn”
Scott goes “Ach”
Sulu goes “Aye”
Rand goes “Oh”
Chapel sighs
and Uhura sings a song
Door says “Whoosh”
and Redshirts die.
Chekov he goes “Aaa! Aaa! Aaa!”

But Vulcan thoughts
Stay hidden deep,
What’s Mister Spock say?

 Fascinating- tingeringeting!
Fascinate-ting-tingeringeting!
Fascinate-ting-tingeringeting!
What does Spock say?

Hail T’pau-pau-pau-pau-pau!
Hail  T’pau-pau-pau-pau-pau!
Hail  T’pau-pau-pau-pau-pau!
What does Spock say?

Oochie–woochie-coochie-coo?
Oochie–woochie-coochie-coo?
Oochie–woochie-coochie-coo?
What does Spock say?

Right check check check right ch-check ch-check!
Right check check right ch-check ch-check!
Right check check check right ch-check ch-check!
What does Spock say?

Bright blue shirt
Pointy ears
Sensor checks
and charging shields.

 Tricorder
With tiny disks.
Calculating all the risks.
Your blood is green
It’s copper based
Makes the cloud not like your taste.

But if you meet
a scared horta,
Will you meld your minds like you
Ough-ough-ough-ougt-a?
Ough-ough-ough-ougt-a?
Ough-ough-ough-ougt-a?

How will you speak to that
ho-o-o-or-ta?
ho-o-o-or-ta?
ho-o-o-or-ta?
What’s Mister Spock say?

I-Chay-Chaya-Chaya-chaI
Ichay-Chaya-Chaya-cha!
I-Chay-Chaya-Chaya-cha!
What does Spock say?

Illog-ic-ic-caca-caca-cal!
Illog-ic-ic-caca-caca-cal!
Illog-ic-ic-caca-caca-cal!
What does Spock say?

Kunat Kali Fee-ee!
Kunat Kali Fee-ee!
Kunat Kali Fee-ee!
What does Spock say?

Pai-ai-ai-ai-aiin!
Pai-ai-aiin!
What’s Mister Spock say?

 The secret known to Spock
Ancient Vulcan Pinch.
Manning the bridge station,
I know you’re scanning
What have you found?
Will you save the day?
Fix the Enterprise is a cinch.
What do you say?

 You’re the Science Officer
Manning your station.
What is your sound?

(Spock Sings:
You know having, May not be as pleasing, As is wanting)

Will we ever know?
(Spock Sings:
The needs of the many)

I want to…
(Spock sings:
Outweigh needs of few)

I want to
I want to know!
(Spock sings:
Live long and prosper, Spock out)

Infinite thanx (and some blame) goes to Anabelle for bringing this song into our home, therefore getting it stuck in my head, and double checking that the meter was right, since she’s the expert here.

Rosa spent a chunk of time with headphones on counting “tchoffs” and “chachas” too. Many thanx to her for that and putting up with me obsessing over crazy stuff like this!

My daughter also gets credit for coming up with/contributing to ideas for Chekov, Sulu and the Redshirts, plus the “pointy ears” line.

That’s my girl!

Many thanx.

And you've uncovered my plot. Only by infecting others can I get songs out of my head.

And I also blame the 6:30am read for my previous
"GENIUS" spelling. Good work, Renae;)

In that case, I freely admit that everything I have ever written in my life was at 6:30 AM.

(It's always 6:30 AM somewhere, right?)

Thank you for giving me credit, daddy. You are welcome for bringing "What Does The Fox Say" into our home. It is very catchy and your song fits right in with the words. My favorite verse of the actual song is the hatee hatee hatee ho line. Your oochie woochie coochie coo made it just as funny. I love you!- Anabelle ;)

You deserve the credit for bringing more creative crazy into the family. Love you too kiddo.

That was Mami's favorite line too, she laughed every time she read it.

As I was reading this I was thinking, I wonder what Anabelle thinks of this, and there she was! Excellent!

Thank you! Pretty much any song parody you see here that is not based on something from 20 years ago or more means that Anabelle brought the song into the house, and checked the timing for me.
